Lake Tahoe south-shore boat-number kits • Online ordering
South Lake Tahoe boating spans the south shore of Lake Tahoe, where trailered runabouts, seasonal cruisers and rental-style hulls share busy launch areas. A decal must still be clear when the bow sits high on a trailer or low in the water. If an older kit is being replaced before returning to the water, photograph the bare display area after residue assessment. Keep the proposed lettering proof separate from any inspection seal, validation decal or other official marking.
Made-to-order vinyl shipped to your area. Not a local marina storefront; we do not issue registrations or official validation decals.
South-shore boats can have narrow fiberglass bow panels that curve sharply toward the rub rail. Measure the full CF-number sequence on both sides and reserve space for any official validation sticker. If your hull has a dark wrap or bright accent stripe, test the number color against the exact surface where it will sit.
Cold-season storage affects installation: allow the hull to become clean, dry and suitably warm for the vinyl instructions. A boat used at Lake Tahoe may be registered in Nevada or another jurisdiction, so never choose CF only because you boat in California.
Plain vertical block characters at least 3 inches high are the federal display baseline for vessels subject to state numbering rules. Confirm the current requirements of your boat's registering jurisdiction—including spacing, contrast, placement and official validation decals—before ordering.

Inspect decals after launching and loading; damaged corners and road grime can compromise legibility.
Check that every character contrasts with the stripe and the adjoining hull, not only one background color.

No. Use the state prefix and number that were actually assigned to the vessel. Lake Tahoe crosses state lines.
Use a full-size layout on both sides. Avoid hardware, severely curved patches and background changes that reduce readability.
Yes. Provide clear photos of both bow sides, their usable dimensions and the assigned number. You can call (386) 227-6695 or use our online contact page. We will help with product sizing, not issue official registration guidance.
Design the assigned registration number on your own boat, double-check contrast and sizing, and order custom-cut vinyl online. Shipping and production timing are shown or confirmed at ordering.
The proposed product is custom lettering for an assigned identifier. Obtain official inspection and registration markings from the appropriate authority rather than treating vinyl letters as a substitute.
Use the exact assigned identifier for registration-number lettering. Plan decorative boat names and any documented-vessel markings separately. Check the relevant state guide, confirm material suitability for the actual surface, and follow the supplied preparation and application instructions.
The current studio submits your design for human-reviewed proof with no payment due at that step. Confirm the reviewed quote, production timing and delivery options before proceeding. Online design and shipping coverage does not imply a local storefront or marina partnership.
