Tahoe City sits on Lake Tahoe's northwestern shore near the Truckee River outlet. Sailboats, runabouts and other seasonal lake boats have different bow shapes, so registration lettering should be planned around the actual vessel rather than copied from a generic mockup. A stored runabout may look ready for new numbers until covers and tie-downs are removed. Measure the actual hull panel, not the cover line, and prepare the proof before scheduling application or making launch plans.
Made-to-order vinyl shipped to your area. Not a local marina storefront; we do not issue registrations or official validation decals.
A narrow foredeck or high rub rail can leave little room for a full-sized number sequence. Measure the readable panel on both sides, including the CF prefix and all characters, and inspect the proposed location from water level. A boat name on the transom can use a decorative typeface; the registration sequence needs clear block characters.
Boats stored through Tahoe winters should be cleaned and dried before vinyl application. An older adhesive outline can make a new kit appear misaligned; remove failing material carefully. Confirm the boat's own assigned registration state, because a Tahoe City launch does not automatically mean California registration.
Plain vertical block characters at least 3 inches high are the federal display baseline for vessels subject to state numbering rules. Confirm the current requirements of your boat's registering jurisdiction—including spacing, contrast, placement and official validation decals—before ordering.

Consider how the bow curves and where deck hardware meets the hull before setting total character width.
Plan replacement after the hull is warm and completely dry; avoid applying decals onto condensation.

No. Our shop makes custom vinyl lettering using your assigned number; state-issued validation decals come from the agency.
Yes. Provide clear photos of both bow sides, their usable dimensions and the assigned number. You can call (386) 227-6695 or use our online contact page. We will help with product sizing, not issue official registration guidance.
Design the assigned registration number on your own boat, double-check contrast and sizing, and order custom-cut vinyl online. Shipping and production timing are shown or confirmed at ordering.
Remove or move the cover safely so you can measure the actual display area. A cover seam does not provide a reliable installation reference.
Use the exact assigned identifier for registration-number lettering. Plan decorative boat names and any documented-vessel markings separately. Check the relevant state guide, confirm material suitability for the actual surface, and follow the supplied preparation and application instructions.
The current studio submits your design for human-reviewed proof with no payment due at that step. Confirm the reviewed quote, production timing and delivery options before proceeding. Online design and shipping coverage does not imply a local storefront or marina partnership.
